Seattle run...

Zipped up to Seattle for 4 days, amazingly, never been there. (well, Dad says yes I have, but I was like, 5.)  Fun town, great sunny weather, stayed downtown and walked everywhere, saw everything. More coffee consumed than I thought physically possible. Even got ethanol free gas in WA, which raised the mpg of the Prius about 8mpg.

Great time.

Florence...before school...

ZIpped out to Florence with Joe, Sarah, and the Zachman. Boys went nuts, built sand castles, got covered in mud. Only way to get clean - well, bogeyboard. Joe and Z hit the water, in t-shirts and boardshorts. They froze. Which did not stop them from being in the water for over an hour.

Sarah was smart, only got her feet wet. I had to hold the camera, so, umm...no water for me.

Wonderful views, blue skies, clouds forming and passing through. Sunburned face. Great day.

Back at It

Been a bit...let's see....took young Joe up to Pland for his first golf tourney experience, a scramble with the Steel Yard gang. He had quite the time, his Dad put on a driving show for him, driving greens on par 4's, making putts. He was in charge of the flag on the greens, and did a great job. We also utilized him for berry-picking, placing him on the roof of the golf cart, so we would drive around, have him stand, and pick the choice blackberries.

Also had the kayak out, strolled around Fern Ridge, all alone other than turtles and woodpeckers.

Will try next week for a afternoon 18, and get the last of the summer completed.

Old friend just got hitched! Kudos to the both of them.

Sweet Victory!

Ahh....tingling! Dad came down, we both were talking up our games, 'I shot 39, I shot 37...etc' As usual, we were both all talk....played 18, we massacred the front nine, (which I still won) then I put together I think 5 pars on the back, (we will not discuss a specific par 3) to take the Cup. That means he had to pay me $5, $5, and $5, total of the large amount of $15.00. Sadly, I did not have change for a $20, so....I kept $20.

However, the best part of it was him looking at the range-finder, and realizing I was driving 300 yards +. Sweet Glory. You're away, Dad.

Hehe.
